Each year, the World Health Day is celebrated to draw attention on global health with different themes every year, focusing on health and wellness.  The theme for 2018 is Health for All.

Here are a few very simple yet effective tips that can be followed to lead a healthy life.

Be regular with medical check-ups:  Get your medical checkups done regularly and consult your doctor if you experience any sign or symptom of disease.

Don’t sit for too long: Avoid sedentary lifestyle.  Go for a short walk and get moving once every hour of sitting

Exercise: Engage in a physical activity of your choice for a minimum of 30 minutes per day.   This is as important as any other essential activity of your life.

Hydration:  Stay hydrated.  Drink minimum 8 glasses of water per day.  Water helps to energize your body and helps you get going throughout the day.

Maintain hygiene: Wash your hands frequently and eat clean food

Mindful Eating: Enjoy and eat healthy  food.  Avoid eating junk, fried and processed food as these foods do more harm than good.  Eat healthy and stay healthy.

Say No:  Say no to smoking and excessive drinking.

Say yes to breakfast:  Do not go to work without the most important meal of the day.  Breakfast is essential as it keeps you energetic throughout the day.

Sleep:  Cut out all your distractions, including TV and mobile phone before bedtime.  This will help you to get a sound sleep.
